CTOnews.com June 6 news, Apple today released a new Mac Pro computer equipped with Apple Silicon chips, the computer uses a new M2 Ultra chip, meaning that the Mac transition to Apple Silicon plan has been successfully completed.

The new PC has the same exterior design as the Intel Mac Pro launched in 2019, with eight Thunderbolt connectors and six PCIe slots that can be expanded to support up to six Pro Display XDRs.

Mac Pro with M2 Ultra has a 24-core CPU, up to 76-core GPU and 192GB of memory. Apple says the new Mac Pro is three times faster than the fastest Intel-based Mac Pro.

The new Mac Pro also features two HDMI ports, dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet, and a 32-core neural engine for machine learning tasks, supporting the latest Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connectivity capabilities.

The new Mac Pro, which starts today and ships next week, starts at $6999 (CTOnews.com notes: currently around 49693 yuan).
