CTOnews.com, June 7, according to the latest report released by security company Bitdefender, in the past six months, more than 60,000 malicious App pretending to be legitimate applications have been detected and found, mainly deceiving users into clicking on ads and making a profit from them.

Bitdefender researchers believe that Android's lack of ability to detect the behavior of applications has led to the brutal growth of malicious apps that make money from advertising in the past.

Since October 2022, Bitdefender has found a total of 60,000 apps carrying adware, and the number of such apps that have not been detected should be even higher.

After installing these applications, users will be randomly redirected to advertising pages, and some pages contain malware, which will further increase the destructive power to users.
