CTOnews.com June 9 news, running sub-platform GeekBench today released a version 6.1 update, after all platforms incorporate Clang 16 factors, indicating that it can more accurately reflect the multi-core performance of the device.

CTOnews.com quoted an official warning: GeekBench 6.1 compared with version 6.0, the single-core score increased by 5%, and the multi-core score increased by 10%. Therefore, it is officially recommended not to compare the scores of version 6.0 and 6.1 of the device.

Geekbench 6.1 widens the workload gap (the pause between workloads) from two seconds to five seconds, minimizing the difference due to fever and frequency reduction on new smartphones such as the Galaxy S23 series.

Scalable Vector extension (SVE) instructions are supported in multiple image processing and machine learning functions, as well as AVX512-FP16 instructions in various image processing tasks.

For systems without FP16 (floating-point 16-bit) instructions, Geekbench 6.1 uses a fixed-point algorithm (fixed-point) to consider according to multiple image processing functions.

Especially for high-end desktop processors such as 12-core and 16-core AMD Ryzens,AMD Threadrippers and Intel Xeons, Geekbench 6.1 enhances the multicore performance of background blur and horizon detection workloads.
