Japanese consumers prefer Chinese brand mobile power: large capacity, long life, and the price of best-selling models has tripled.

CTOnews.com, June 9, according to the Nikkei Chinese website, large-capacity mobile power supplies that can be used for disaster prevention and outdoor use are becoming more and more popular among Japanese consumers. The prices of many best-selling models have risen to 70,000-80,000 yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 3584-4096 yuan), while a year and a half ago the price was generally around 20,000 yen (currently about 1024 yuan), an increase of more than three times.

At a home appliance store in Chiyoda District, Tokyo, the clerk said the most popular products came from Chinese brands, including a mobile power supply that retails for 75000 yen (currently about 3840 yuan) and has a 768Wh battery capacity that can charge an ordinary laptop about 10 times. This product uses lithium iron phosphate battery, which has a longer life than ordinary battery.

"A year ago, consumers tended to try to buy small-capacity mobile power supplies, but with the increased awareness of such products, more and more people began to buy more practical high-capacity models," said Yutai Jinzawa, head of the store. The number of high-capacity mobile power brands sold in stores has also expanded from 3 a year ago to 9 today.

Due to frequent natural disasters such as torrential rains, typhoons and earthquakes, large-capacity mobile power sources have great market potential in Japan. When used for disaster prevention purposes, many people will also buy additional solar charging panels for matching use. Early June is also a season for frequent torrential rains across Japan, so sales of high-capacity mobile power have also increased.
