In the 5G field, OPPO has completed 5400 + family global patent applications, claimed 2800 + family 5G standard patents in ETSI, and submitted more than 8000 standard manuscripts in 3GPP. According to the report on the number of necessary patent claims of the global 5G standard released by the German patent data statistics platform IPlytics, OPPO ranks eighth in the world.

At present, OPPO has distributed patents in more than 40 countries and regions around the world. According to the data of the World intellectual property Organization (WIPO), OPPO ranked sixth in the world with 1963 PCT international patent applications in 2022, making OPPO one of the top 10 in the world for four consecutive years. According to statistics, in 2022, the number of European patent applications of OPPO ranks second in China and 17th in the world, while the number of patents granted in the United States ranks fourth in China.
