The Palace Museum implemented new rules at the end of June to prohibit live broadcast and recording activities in the exhibition hall.

CTOnews.com, June 15 (Xinhua)-- the Palace Museum in Beijing announced on its website today that it will formally implement the "Guide to visit the Palace Museum" and the "catalogue of prohibited items to be carried by the Palace Museum" from June 30.

The new regulations set clear requirements for uncivilized visits, including a ban on smoking in the Palace Museum, a ban on live broadcast and recording activities in the exhibition hall, and a ban on the use of flash, selfie sticks and bracket photographic equipment in the exhibition hall.

The Palace Museum has the right to dissuade and stop tourists who violate the above rules; for serious cases, the Palace Museum will record "information about uncivilized tourists" and report it to the department in charge of culture and tourism. Once a "record of uncivilized behavior in tourism" has been formed, they will be prohibited from entering the hospital within the corresponding period of time; suspected illegal acts will be handed over to the public security organs.

In addition, commercial photography and camera equipment (such as slide rails, rocker arms, reflectors, floor-mounted tripods, stabilizers, etc.) are clearly included in the Palace Museum prohibited items catalogue.
