Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com June 16, Intel announced last night that the Core brand will be split into the new Intel Core Ultra for the flagship level and the Intel Core processor brand for mainstream products. After that, the Intel processor will be named Intel Core Ultra 5-7-9 # # xx and Intel Core processor 3-5-7 # # xx parallel.

However, Intel chose not to bring the 13th generation of Core HX and desktop processor upgrade to the latest naming system, and still retain the naming rules of the I series, which may cause some trouble for users.

As shown in the figure above, Intel Core 14 desktop processors still retain their previous named specifications, so it can be inferred that the i9-14900K (KS) will be the new flagship desktop processor and should also be compatible with the 600amp 700 series motherboard. The next generation of desktop processors will be fully named by Core Ultra and Core.

In addition, Intel Core's 14th-generation HX series processors retain the old name, which is essentially the same as the desktop side and is mainly used in high-performance game books.

To put it simply, in the second half of this year or early next year, consumers will be able to buy Core 14-generation i3-i9 desktop processors, game books with Core 14-generation i5-i9HX processors, laptops with Core Ultra on 5-7-9 and ultra-thin books with Core 3-5-7.
