CTOnews.com quoted media reports that the Tensor G2 processor on the Pixel 7a uses the "IPOP" package, while the Pixel 7 series uses the "FOPLP" package.

The IPOP packaging process is more cost-effective, thicker, larger and generates more heat than FOPLP.

Pixel 7a and Pixel 7 series adopt different heat dissipation schemes, so it is impossible to compare and determine the impact of heat dissipation on actual performance at this stage.
