IFixit disassembles the Asustek ROG Ally handset, praising its modular design

CTOnews.com June 24 news, foreign maintenance team iFixit recently disassembled ASUS ROG Ally game console, indicating that the whole disassembly process is very smooth.

iFixit means that except for a few components such as screens, most components, including 40Wh batteries, upgradeable M.2 storage and even the new Ryzen Z1 series chipset, can be turned away with a Phillips screwdriver. The interior is modular and easy to replace by users.

The iFixit team praised ROG Ally in the video for being better than Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch and other game consoles in terms of maintainability. However, the team also said that Steam Deck may be more suitable for gamers, and the current Win11 system still needs to strengthen the optimization of Ally.
