CTOnews.com, June 25 (Xinhua)-- the annual music festival Bonaro (Bonnaroo) opened in Manchester, Tennessee, in June. For live audiences, it is passionate music and immersed in the orgy, while for rescue workers, it is a headache: the number of false positives received on 9 / 11 is five times that of a few years ago.

The 2023 Bonaro Music Festival, held from June 14 to 18, attracted more than 80,000 participants. Managing such a large music audience is itself a test of the organizers' ability to manage, and to make matters worse this year, the collision detection function of iPhone phones has led to a sharp increase in false positives.

Scott LeDuc, director of the Coffee County 911 communication center, told WKRN that the false positives were caused by dancing or excessive body movements in the crowd.

CTOnews.com note: the Manchester Police Department encourages concert audiences to ban collision detection altogether, and LeDuc says that after advocating this policy, the chance of receiving false positives has been reduced by 40 per cent and 60 per cent.
