CTOnews.com obtained from the State Post Bureau, the postal industry mailing and delivery business volume completed a total of 60.28 billion pieces from January to May, an increase of 14.3% over the same period last year. Among them, the volume of express delivery (excluding the parcel business of the Postal Group) totaled 48.09 billion, an increase of 17.4% over the same period last year. A total of 4.96 billion pieces of express delivery business were completed in the same city, an increase of 1.2% over the same period last year, 42.02 billion pieces of express business were completed in other places, an increase of 18.9% over the same period last year, and 1.1 billion pieces of international / Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan express business were completed, an increase of 56.9% over the same period last year.

From January to May, the business income of the postal industry (excluding the direct business income of the Postal savings Bank) totaled 596.39 billion yuan, an increase of 12.2% over the same period last year. Of this total, the revenue from the express delivery business totaled 449.68 billion yuan, an increase of 12.3% over the same period last year. In May, the business income of the postal industry reached 123.19 billion yuan, an increase of 12.2% over the same period last year. Of this total, the revenue from the express delivery business reached 98.23 billion yuan, an increase of 12.6% over the same period last year.
