Toyota's global production hit an all-time high in May, while production in China fell due to tighter emission regulations.

CTOnews.com June 29 news, Toyota Motor Corporation announced today that its global production and overseas production in May hit a record high, reaching 847,000 units, exceeding the same period last year for five consecutive months, up 33.4% year-on-year. Among them, Japan's domestic production was 248287 vehicles, up 72.2% year-on-year, exceeding the level of the same period last year for five consecutive months; overseas production was 598713 vehicles, exceeding the level of the same period last year for two consecutive months.

Toyota Motor said production in China had fallen due to tighter emissions regulations in China, but production in North America and Europe had recovered as semiconductor shortages eased.
