CTOnews.com, June 30, according to a list published by the US Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple recently obtained a patent numbered US 20230205406 A1, named "Visual object Container", suggesting a future 3D version of the macOS system.

CTOnews.com attached a number of design sketches provided by Apple patent, you can see the macOS desktop, 3D three-dimensional display of folders, Dock and related elements, so that users have a more immersive experience.

Apple provides an implementation method in the patent, as well as a system design that includes a visual object container.

In one example, the device processor executes instructions on readable media storage to generate a 3D graphical user interface, and the system can customize stereoscopic effects and present different stereoscopic senses.
