The Ameca robot has been called "the most humanoid robot in the world" because of its lifelike expression, and has become popular for a time. CTOnews.com noticed that throughout the painting process, Ameca also made a "pen pause" when humans were painting, and showed a thoughtful expression before answering human questions.

While talking to the human engineer, Ameca used a marker to draw a cat on the whiteboard and finally signed his name in the lower right corner of the whiteboard. Ameca made the following response to the human engineer's request to "draw a cat":

Cats have something very special: they always seem to know what we need. Whether we need hugs when we are depressed, or play and interact, they are always with us. I think that's why we like cats so much.

After the ▲ source Engineered Arts official video was finished, Ameca asked the human engineer how the work was, and the response was "a little scribbled". Unexpectedly, the robot "painter" frowned and changed his words:

If you don't like my paintings, it may be because you don't know anything about art.

Ameca is able to have painting skills because it has access to AI painting software Stable Diffusion, and body movements and facial expressions are driven by Engineered Arts technology, and language skills are driven by GPT-3.

The company points out that the difficulty of robot painting is to convert the image into vector lines that can be drawn. In addition, Ameca will also open a "paid customization" service to complete painting according to the specific requirements of customers.

It is worth mentioning that Ameca does not have the ability to walk yet, but Engineered Arts will upgrade it in the future to make it have the ability to walk, run and so on.
