CTOnews.com, July 5 (Xinhua)-- TSMC released a sustainability report last week, publishing statistics on the average salary of employees and saying that most employees participate in equity incentive schemes, buying and owning the company's shares at a 15% discount.

TSMC report shares the profit sharing plan of its manufacturing plant, salary, bonus and other related data of new employees. The report says that the average annual salary of newly hired masters is no less than 2 million New Taiwan dollars (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 464000 yuan), and the average annual salary of ordinary new employees is no less than 1 million New Taiwan dollars (currently about 232000 yuan).

CTOnews.com Note: according to the data released in November 2022, the average annual salary in the region is NT $677000 (currently about RMB 157000), and the semiconductor industry has the highest annual salary, with an average annual salary of NT $969000 (currently about RMB 225000).

TSMC says 70% of its employees participate in the equity incentive scheme, and they can buy employee shares at a 15% discount.

TSMC says the median annual salary for employees worldwide is NT $2.33 million, and the annual salary of Wei Zhe-Jia, the company's CEO, is 276 times that of the average employee.
