According to the latest data, the number of registered users of Threads has exceeded 10 million seven hours after its launch, after breaking the 2 million and 5 million registration mark two hours and four hours after launch, respectively.

At the same time, Zuckerberg also talked to many users on Threads about the future development of the platform. Asked if Threads would be bigger than Twitter, Zuckerberg said: "it will take some time, but I think there should be a public communication app with more than 1 billion users. Twitter had a chance to do this, but it hasn't done it yet. I hope we can do it."

Zuckerberg has previously said that keeping the platform friendly will be the key to Threads's ultimate success, while Twitter owner Elon Musk responded: "it's much better to be attacked by strangers on Twitter than to indulge in the false pleasures of hiding pain on Instagram."

CTOnews.com previously reported that Threads can now be downloaded in more than 100 countries and regions, including the United States and the United Kingdom, but the app has not yet been downloaded in the European Union due to privacy regulatory issues.
