Analyst: Apple's iPhone 15 series will be produced in August, and the price of the Pro Max model will go up.

CTOnews.com, July 6 (Xinhua)-- according to Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong International Technology Research, Apple will begin mass production of the iPhone 15 series in August 2023. Shipments in the second half of the year are expected to reach 84 million, an increase of 12% over last year's iPhone 14 series, indicating Apple's confidence in market demand.

However, Jeff Pu also warned that the price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be higher than the starting price of $1099 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Unlike last year, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to have some unique features, rather than exactly the same as the 6.1in Pro.

CTOnews.com notes that in the past few generations, Pro and Pro Max have all been the same except for screen size (and battery capacity). But that will change this year. The current expectation is that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will exclusively enjoy the new periscope zoom lens, giving it the best camera system. The periscope lens will greatly increase the optical zoom range of the iPhone, which is expected to jump from the current maximum of 3x to about 6x.
