CTOnews.com, July 10, according to French newspaper Le Figaro, French Finance Minister Bruno Lemerre (Bruno Le Maire) said on July 9 that he had "great hopes" for Tesla CEO Elon Musk to invest in France. Prior to this, Musk has been received by French President Macron and a number of dignitaries.

Asked by LCI television whether the investment would "pay special attention to electric cars or batteries", Bruno replied that "several options have been put forward, which depends entirely on his decision, and he knows he is very popular in France."

In June, Mr Musk reiterated his interest in France, saying that a future "major project" in the country was very likely, but it had not yet been determined whether it would be a Tesla superfactory or battery factory.

At a summit in Versailles in mid-May, Mr Musk promised that Tesla would "make significant investments in France". However, as of CTOnews.com press time, the investment has not been any results, "Le Figaro" reported that Musk's choice may also be Spain.

Tesla's first super factory in Europe, located in Berlin, Germany, went into operation on March 22, 2022, producing at least 500000 cars and batteries a year and creating at least 12000 jobs. On October 2, 2022, the Model Y model of Tesla Berlin Super Factory has reached 2000 vehicles per week.
