CTOnews.com July 11 news, Thunder Snake (Razer) today posted a short tweet saying that it had begun an investigation into the data breach.

A user named Nationalist posted on the dark web on Saturday, claiming to have stolen Razer.com 's source code, database, encryption key and back-end access login information, asking for $100000 in XMR cryptocurrency.

The publisher of the post does not set any restrictions or exclusivity, which means that anyone who is willing to pay the required amount will get the entire dataset. The screenshot of CTOnews.com embedded here is as follows, which shows the file tree, email address, source code allegedly used for anti-cheating and reward system, API details, Razer Gold balance, etc.

As soon as FalconFeedsio's cyber security analysts found it on the dark web, they immediately tweeted and shared it with the public. Thunder Snake retweeted the tweet and said it had launched an investigation into potential user information leaks.
