Fairphone 5 phone appears in Geekbench, equipped with Snapdragon 782G processor

CTOnews.com, July 12 (Xinhua)-- Fairphone launched Fairphone 4 in September 2021. The design of its successor, Fairphone 5, is expected to be released soon. The design of the phone was revealed in a leaked picture last month, and now the main configuration of the phone is also released through the Geekbench website.

The Geekbench page shows that Fairphone 5 will be equipped with Android 13 systems, running memory for 8GB, and possibly other memory versions. On the processor side, CTOnews.com noticed that the Geekbench website showed that its motherboard was code-named "lahaina", presumably Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chip. This is a mid-range processor that supports 5G networks and has improved performance over the previous generation of Fairphone 4.

In addition to the hardware configuration, there are also some highlights in the design of Fairphone 5. The phone uses a perforated display screen, rear dual cameras, support side fingerprint identification, using USB-C interface and so on. However, the phone does not retain a 3.5mm headphone hole.
