With the development of artificial intelligence (AI), many companies begin to use AI to handle some simple tasks, such as making forms, writing general copywriting, and so on. These tasks are usually done by entry-level employees and are seen as part of their "hone" in the workplace. However, many companies do not provide enough training, guidance and career development opportunities for young employees, resulting in their lack of career goals and skills, and the emergence of AI further weakens their value and status at work.

Tuyuan Pexels reports that Gen Z (a generation born after 1997) was already at a disadvantage before entering the workplace. Many of them are burdened with heavy student loans and it is difficult to find a job that does not require a college degree or experience. Even if they find a job, it is difficult for them to get the care and support of the company. CTOnews.com notes that a survey shows that only 24% of American employees strongly agree that their companies care about their well-being. Another survey showed that 74 per cent of Gen Z and millennials (born between 1981 and 1996) had considered quitting because the company did not provide adequate skills training or career promotion options.

According to the report, the management of American companies have not fully considered the potential impact of using AI, they are only concerned about cost and efficiency, but not about the value and long-term development of human capital. The article warned that this would weaken the economy and called on companies to rethink their investment in employees, provide more training and mentoring programs, and use AI to assist rather than replace human work.
