The official version of WeChat Mini Programs's new rendering engine Skyline has been released, and the loading speed is increased by more than 50%.

CTOnews.com July 21 news, WeChat open community officials recently announced that Weixin Mini Programs (Mini) new rendering engine Skyline has been released official version, further improving the rendering performance and experience of small programs.

According to reports, the new rendering engine Skyline has been released with the base library 3.0.0, with the following three major improvements:

Experience more native: support flexible gesture operation, stable scroll-view components and other capabilities, efficiently realize waterfall flow/ceiling layout, card transition, half-screen switching and other more native interactive experiences

More powerful performance: Mini programs with Skyline rendering engine have different performance improvements, whether it is startup performance or runtime performance, and load speed can be improved by more than 50%

Develop more efficiently: Support common CSS features and add advanced features, allowing developers to quickly migrate and build native-like Mini programs

In addition, WeChat officially launched XR-Frame 3D development framework and glass-easel new component framework.

XR-Frame 3D development framework allows developers to use WXML to build a 3D Mini programs that support particle, post-processing, video and other capabilities.

glass-easel new component framework replaces the original Exparser component framework, claims to have faster execution speed, realizes lower latency when launching Mini programs and interface update (setData); adds Chaining API to provide better TypeScript support, and adds dynamic slot and other features to lower the development threshold.
