CTOnews.com, July 24 (Xinhua)-- Apple is preparing to provide Apple store employees with a new option to provide "door-to-door delivery" to customers when they buy products, rather than asking customers to take them home, Mark Gurman said.

Gurman said the new EasyPay online ordering plan will be launched in stores in August, a move that could mark a bigger strategic shift for Apple.

Previously, to get the "door-to-door" service, Apple store employees could only advise customers to buy online or help them fill in temporary orders on the website, and the new official plan means that the service will be integrated directly into EasyPay terminals in Apple's retail channels. He believes that by providing "door-to-door delivery" to more customers, Apple may need more warehouse space to store products in the future, but it can provide convenience for customers. Gurman speculates that the service may also play a role in the promotion of Vision Pro, because the Vision Pro has thousands of accessories, such as headbands and light seals that fit users' heads, while Apple stores can hardly have all of them in stock at the same time, and they can better sell the Vision Pro by shipping as a supporting option.
