According to Science and Technology Daily, the standard proposal "Segmented Routing (SRv6) Network Performance Monitoring Method Based on IPv6 Forwarding Plane" led by the Institute of Intellectual Research has been officially approved by the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva, Switzerland.
According to reports, segmented routing based on IPv6 forwarding plane is one of the popular technologies in the field of international network communication, and it is also the key technology of computing network. It can provide deterministic bearer for cloud edge collaborative aggregation regulation of massive distributed resources in new power systems, and support joint scheduling of future energy flow and information flow.
This technology combines the simplicity and extensibility of IPv6 with the advantages of software-defined networks. It can realize intelligent identification of service quality through flexible IPv6 header field extension, and translate the communication path carrying service into a series of forwarding instructions through separation of control/forwarding planes. Finally, it realizes network programmability to meet customization requirements.

He said that the standard of this project defines SRv6 network performance monitoring framework and monitoring method, providing technical support for panoramic monitoring of typical service bearer channels such as real-time control, mass acquisition and computation-intensive.
