It is reported that TransGPT (TransGPT-7B) is a large text model based on Transformer architecture, which combines multi-modal structure with real-time scene data transfer mode to form a framework based on integrated traffic model as infrastructure and supplemented by traffic segment industry applications.

The model uses 3.46 million pieces of text data for domain pre-training and 58000 pieces of dialogue data for fine-tuning. Finally, the model can realize the functions of traffic situation prediction, intelligent consulting assistant, public transport service, traffic planning and design, traffic safety education, assist management, traffic accident report and analysis, autopilot assistant system and so on.

Users only need to provide the departure and arrival places, and the model can generate relevant traffic planning information and carry out a series of travel route planning behaviors.

At the same time, the model is trained by driving laws, and users can obtain detailed policy interpretation information by asking about the model, and can also generate a series of safety education contents to help relevant industries carry out traffic safety education.

Officials claim that TransGPT is not only completely open to academic research, but can be used for free as long as it is applied for by email and obtained an official commercial license.

As the first general common sense traffic model in China, TransGPT has a certain milestone significance, which can provide general knowledge for road engineering, bridge engineering, tunnel engineering, road transport, waterway transport, urban public transport, transportation economy, transportation safety and other industries.
