CTOnews.com, July 29, according to The Verge, under the support of Musk, Twitter (Twitter) has recently started a full renaming process, and the current iOS and Android clients have been renamed X. However, according to feedback from some Apple users, Twitter still retains its original name in the Apple App Store App Store.

Taylor Lorenz, a reporter from the Washington Post, wrote on Twitter's competing Threads platform that Twitter could not be renamed because Apple App Store requires apps to be named "with at least two letters." He also said that Twitter still describes the application name as "Twitter" in the app update.

Product designer Nick Sheriff said on Twitter that Apple does not allow any app to use a single character as a name on iOS. But if Twitter gets special approval, it will mark the first time that a company has obtained such a license since App Store was founded.

However, on the home screen of an iOS device, the application name can be a single character, which is why the name of the application has now been displayed as "X" after download / update, and the Logo of the application has been modified.

CTOnews.com previously reported that the anti-phishing feature of Microsoft's Edge browser was triggered after Twitter was renamed X, reminding users that the "official" app may be a fake, according to netizen @ flobo09.
