CTOnews.com August 3, Honda China today released terminal sales for July 2023. Honda sold 89691 terminal cars in China in July, compared with 619382 from January to July, according to the data. Among them, this year's Honda electric model (CTOnews.com note: including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, pure electric models) terminal sales of 132896 vehicles.

Compared with previous CTOnews.com reports, Honda sold 133600 terminal cars in China in July 2022 and 113133 in June 2023. It can be seen that Honda China's car sales in July, whether year-on-year, or month-on-month, there has been a relatively significant decline.

Japan's Sankei Shimbun previously reported that the country's top three automakers were already facing a collective decline in sales in China in June this year, and Toyota recorded negative growth for the first time in three months. Analysts pointed out that in addition to increased competition for price cuts in China's new car market, the lack of a sufficient lineup of electric vehicle products by foreign manufacturers such as Japanese automakers is also an important reason for weak sales, because in the Chinese market, electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular with consumers.
