Nissan's total sales in China: 59507 units

Sales of Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan, Qichen and Infiniti brands): 56495 units

Zhengzhou Nissan (light commercial vehicle business sector) sales volume: 3012 units

Cumulative sales for the year to the end of July: 418016 units

In response, Shohei Yamazaki, chairman of Nissan's China Management Committee and president of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., said: "in the face of changes in the business environment in the Chinese market, we need to ensure the sustainable development of our business and, at the same time, speed up the introduction of products that are more suitable for market demand and at a more suitable price."

CTOnews.com previously reported that Makoto Uchida, CEO of Nissan, said at a briefing at the end of last month that he had recently visited China and held talks with joint venture partner Dongfeng Motor Group: "Unfortunately, our sales prospects are now far below our production capacity."

Mr. Uchida said he expected Nissan's earnings in China to recover for some time and said he would provide more details on Nissan's new lineup in the Chinese market before the autumn.
