CTOnews.com, August 9 (Xinhua)-- Google today unveiled its "Project IDX" project, a code editor that incorporates AI technology.

CTOnews.com quoted Google's project description as saying that one of the current pain points for developers is that it is difficult to configure the technical environment and stack in which a particular project is running.

Developers who want to switch from desktops to laptops need to synchronize versions, and there may be inconsistencies in the behavior of some of the code between the two devices.

Google's Project IDX project hopes to alleviate this problem, which seamlessly connects key technologies based on Code OSS (the open source version of Microsoft VS Code), which means developers can get started quickly.

The Project IDX project runs based on the Linux virtual machine in the cloud, and provides framework templates such as Flutter, Angular, React and Next.js, and allows developers to configure freely to meet individual development needs.

Project IDX integrates real-time preview while your application is running. Currently, this is limited to previewing Web applications, but will soon be extended to Android or even iOS emulators.
