Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen ThinkBou for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com August 9, Microsoft today launched a new Windows 365Switch service that makes it easy for users to switch between local and cloud PC, and is now in the public preview phase.

Microsoft's Christiaan Brinkhoff outlines the service in its announcement, and CTOnews.com translates as follows:

The Windows 365 Switch service provides familiar keyboard commands, as well as mouse clicks or swipe gestures, allowing users to easily move between the Windows 365 Cloud PC and the local desktop for a seamless experience.

Microsoft has invited Beta Channel's Windows Insider project members (Dev Channel is also available) to test the service, requiring users to sign up for Beta Channel both on the Cloud PC service and locally, and then access the latest public preview.

The Windows Switch service then installs the Windows 365 application from Microsoft Store, and if you are in a managed environment, IT administrators can use Intune to automatically download it to the desktop, which may take "hours".

After running the simple wizard for the first time, the task view on the local PC informs you that you can now use it to switch to the cloud PC. You can also use the task view on Cloud PC to switch the local PC from Cloud PC.
