China Unicom: revenue and net profit in the first half of 2023 once again set a new record since listing, and the penetration rate of 5G package exceeded 70%.

In the first half of the year, the operating income reached 191.8 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8 percent over the same period last year; the total profit reached 15.3 billion yuan, and the net profit attributed to the parent company reached 5.444 billion yuan, an increase of 13.7 percent over the same period last year, achieving a double-digit increase for seven consecutive years. In the first half of the year, the company's return on net assets reached a recent high of 3.4%.
China Unicom said that in the first half of 2023, the number of large connection users reached 928 million, with a net increase of more than 66 million, and the room for large connection growth was further expanded.

In terms of mobile business, the number of mobile billing users exceeded 328 million, with a net increase of 5.34 million in the first half of the year, with a net increase in the number of users reaching a four-year high; the penetration rate of 5G package users exceeded 70%; and personal digital living payment users represented by video ringtones, Unicom assistants and Unicom cloud disk exceeded 87 million, and their income increased by 90% compared with the same period last year, driving the continuous improvement of mobile ARPU. The innovative growth of broadband services has been further accelerated. The number of fixed-line broadband subscribers has reached 108 million, with a net increase of 4 million in a row for half a year, and the convergence penetration rate has reached 75%.
