CTOnews.com August 11, Xiaomi Redmi officially announced that the K60 premium version has become the first Redmi phone equipped with IP68 dustproof and waterproof, declaring that it is "1.5m deep and still in normal use for 30 minutes".

In the GB T 4208-2017 shell protection grade, the waterproof and dustproof grade mainly depends on the last two digits of the IPXX, XX, the first X is the dustproof grade from 0 to 6, the highest grade is 6; the second X is the waterproof grade from 0 to 8, and the highest grade is 8. The highest level of protection is IP68.

Today, IP68 dustproof and waterproof has become a standard feature in flagship phones, which are now available in Xiaomi 13 series, Huawei Mate 50 series, Samsung Galaxy S23 series and Apple iPhone 14 series phones.
