Japanese media: 40% of the batteries of Tesla electric vehicles depend on China.

Recently, Japanese economic news and data analysis agency FRONTEO of Japan conducted an analysis of 13428 presumptive suppliers of Tesla and found that Chinese enterprises accounted for 40% of the battery sector, the largest number by country and region.
Reported that this time by country and region compared by industry code selected Tesla suppliers, from the lithium-ion battery related suppliers, China ranked first. Chinese companies account for 39 per cent of a total of 61 battery-related suppliers, and 40 per cent of the 42 "non-ferrous metal refining" (excluding aluminum refining) suppliers, ranking first in terms of country and region.
In addition, among the 102 "inorganic chemistry" suppliers, China also accounts for the highest proportion, reaching 33%, which shows Tesla's high degree of dependence on China.
However, CTOnews.com found from the statistics that from the countries and regions of all the selected suppliers of Tesla, American enterprises accounted for the largest proportion, reaching 22%, followed by Chinese enterprises, accounting for 17%. Compared with GM of the United States, the proportion of Chinese companies among Tesla's suppliers is 4 percentage points higher.
Nippon Keizai Shimbun pointed out at the end of the article that Japan was slow to move in related areas (electric car batteries).
