It is reported that the large model can be used to improve the efficiency of all aspects of drug research and development, including new drug project evaluation, drug design and optimization, clinical trial design, indication expansion and so on. The model's question and answer ability in the biomedical field is known as "comparable to the level of human experts". It has implemented SOTA on several biomedical Q & A benchmark data sets, and has successfully passed the American Medical qualification examination.

In addition, the team launched BioMedGPT-LM-7B together, claiming to be "the first commercial, biomedical-specific Llama2 model".

Recently, Zhang Tielei, a senior architecture expert and former head of Taiwan technology in Kuaishou's commercial business, announced that he has joined Waterwood as vice president of technical engineering, and will lead a team to accelerate the architectural design and engineering landing of large biomedical models.
