CTOnews.com August 19 news, foreign science and technology media Windows Latest followed up and reported that the update released by Microsoft in August this year has greatly improved the problem of substandard SSD speed, but it is not suitable for all users, and some users are still plagued by this problem.

CTOnews.com has previously reported that since the KB5023778 update in March 2023, users often report performance problems with SSD, and the subsequent cumulative updates have not improved, with some users saying that their SSD speed has slowed down by more than 50%.

The media reported on August 14 that although Microsoft has not issued an official announcement, the August update has basically fixed the problem of substandard SSD speed.

However, in a subsequent supplementary update, the media quoted user feedback from the Reddit community, saying that SSD speed still did not recover after installing the August update, especially in terms of write speed.

It is not clear exactly how many users are affected by the problem and how many still have the problem after the August update is installed.
