Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, Aug. 22 (Xinhua)-- the MIT research team has developed an invisible tag system called BrightMarker, which embeds fluorescent tags into objects and can be viewed and tracked by infrared cameras.
It is reported that the working principle of the BrightMarker invisible label system is basically the same as the current "QR code", but the relevant scanning media are hidden inside the object, so it is not easy to tamper with the outside world, or even "will not be found where it is hidden". But if users use an infrared camera to "shoot" the media with an invisible tag system, they can see the corresponding coding information of the label.
▲ image source BrightMarker official demonstration researchers said that the BrightMarker invisible label system can now be used in 3D printing. CTOnews.com learned after query that users need to embed relevant information into 3D printed objects and export them to STL files during the modeling stage, and then users need to use the fluorescent wire in the printer to print out objects with embedded hidden tags. The team said the tags did not change the shape, function or appearance of the object.
The research team said the BrightMarkers invisible tagging system could be used to track the history of objects, verify authenticity, move during transportation, or any use that bar codes or QR codes can currently achieve, but the team said they also have limitations, the main of which is that "the cost is relatively high, so it is difficult to popularize."
