Twitch follows Douyin and launches vertical scrolling video streaming function.

The feature will be available to "some users" on Tuesday, and Twitch published an article on X about it. Currently, Discovery displays only horizontal clips, and Twitch says users will see vertical clips after "feature development." Discovery currently includes two types of video clips, featured and popular, and creators can mark the clips they want to join the "Select" pool.

CTOnews.com noted that companies such as Spotify, Amazon and Reddit have launched video presentations similar to Douyin.

Twitch announced Discovery in July, as well as other new features involving video clips, including exporting video clips directly to TikTok. The company also announced in July that it plans to introduce the stories feature to the platform.
