CTOnews.com August 23, ROG unveiled the latest Wi-Fi 7 router ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro at the Cologne Game Show.

It is reported that Rapture GT-BE98 Pro is an improved version of GT-BE98 released by ROG at the beginning of the year, which supports the Wi-Fi 7 standard. It has 2.4GHz band, two 5GHz bands and 6GHz band, and the theoretical speed can reach 30000 Mbps. Asustek demonstrated a real speed of up to 4700 Mbps on the Gamescom 2023.

In terms of configuration, this router is equipped with a 64-bit 4-core 2.6GHz processor, has two 10G network ports and four 2.5G network ports, and supports RGB lighting.

At present, ROG has not yet announced the price and launch date of the router.

According to previous reports from CTOnews.com, the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially released a notice on June 1 to solicit the opinions of the State Radio Office on the approval of technical requirements and testing methods for new models of wireless LAN equipment using IEEE 802.11be technology standards. The relevant Wi-Fi 7 standards are expected to be launched soon, when a large wave of Wi-Fi 7 products will be put on the market.
