Zhihu had an average of 109.4 million monthly active users in the second quarter of 2023, compared with 105.9 million in the same period in 2022. The average number of monthly subscription members in the second quarter of 2023 reached 14 million, an increase of 65.3% over the same period in 2022.

Revenue from marketing services was 412.7 million yuan, compared with 478.1 million yuan in the same period in 2022. The reduction is mainly due to the continuous improvement of service products, with a strategic focus on improving profit margins.

The income of paying members was 449.1 million yuan, an increase of 65.6 percent from 271.2 million yuan in the same period in 2022. The increase is mainly due to the continuous growth in the number of subscription members due to the optimization of content and the improvement of user experience.

Vocational training income was 144.5 million yuan, up 213.3% from 46.1 million yuan in the second quarter of 2022. The sharp increase is mainly due to the official launch of richer online courses and revenue contributions from businesses acquired during the period.

Other income is 37.9 million yuan, compared with 40.7 million yuan in the same period in 2022.
