CTOnews.com August 24, Asustek released three Z790 motherboards on August 22, including the flagship ROG Maximus Z790 DARK HERO and the new Raptor and TUF models.

Asustek said the three motherboards were launched to welcome Intel's new Core 14-generation desktop processor and were equipped with the latest Wi-Fi 7 wireless network card.

According to Asustek's website, Intel Core 14-generation processors will be "Raptor Lake-S Refresh" (CTOnews.com note: mobile low-voltage platform is called Core first-generation processors). Although this is no secret, but in fact Intel has never proved it, has always called itself a "Raptor Lake-? upgrade".

Intel plans to launch Innovation 2023 next month, when it is expected to launch the Refresh version of 14-generation Raptor Lake, along with the first generation of Meteor Lake Series Core Ultra processors for mobile platforms.

At present, Intel 14-generation Coolie processors still use LGA-1700 sockets, the existing 700s motherboards are compatible with BIOS updates, and there is a good chance that the Z890 chipset will not be released.
