Introduction to the film:

The film tells the extraordinary story of the most heroic female warrior in history, adapted from real historical events that took place on the west coast of Africa in the 19th century. When the foreign invaders looked covetously, the Kingdom of Dahomey in West Africa formed an army made up entirely of women, who were brave and invincible, vowing to crush the invaders' ambitions. The film shows General Naniska's shocking journey-she trains the next generation of recruits and prepares them to defend their homes at all costs.
