Before Apple's official announcement, Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu said that due to supply constraints, the production forecast of the new iPhone will be reduced from 83 million to 77 million, while analysts at Mizuho Bank of Japan have revised their production forecast for the iPhone 15 from 8400 million to 73 million.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, analysts said this week that Apple will delay the launch of the iPhone 15 Pro Max until October, and other models are expected to go on sale on September 22.

Apple analyst Guo Mingyi has released the latest report. He said the market is already worried about the reduction in iPhone 15 shipments, especially the delay in iPhone 15 Pro Max shipments, but in fact iPhone 15 Pro Max shipments will begin this week, and Apple will also increase shipments of older models.

Guo Mingyi mentioned that Apple's latest iPhone shipments target 250 million units in 2024, while he believes that reasonable 2024 shipments could reach 5-10% year-on-year.

It is said that Samsung's smartphone shipments have been cut to 220 million this year, and if Apple keeps its 2H24 orders unchanged, iPhone shipments are expected to reach 2.2-225 million in 2023, surpassing Samsung to become the largest smartphone brand, which will have a long-term positive impact on Apple's ecology.
