Tesla today celebrates the 10th anniversary of the opening of Europe's first supercharging stations by providing free charging for all electric cars in Europe.
On August 29, CTOnews.com, Tesla Europe announced: "Ten years ago today, the first six supercharging stations opened in Norway. Now, our network covers 36 countries, more than 1000 sites and more than 13000 supercharging posts, allowing you to travel freely wherever you go."
To celebrate the anniversary, Tesla offered free charging services to all Tesla and non-Tesla users on August 29, CTOnews.com learned from officials. If you are in Europe, you can charge for free at all Tesla supercharging stations today. "by the way, European supercharging is free for everyone today!" Tesla added.
The one-day free charging activity is applicable to all supercharging stations in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. These charging stations account for about 70% of the entire network in Europe.
