CTOnews.com, August 30, Microsoft today released a stable update of Microsoft 365Version 2308, version number Build 16731.20170, mainly upgrading tools such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

One of the most noteworthy improvements is Excel, which officially launched the enhanced Data Validation drop-down list completion (AutoComplete) feature after months of rigorous testing by Beta users.

When enabled by the user, Excel automatically compares the text typed in the cell with everything in the list, and then displays only the matching content.

The AutoComplete algorithm can match text content anywhere in the cell, so users don't need to enter complete keywords to see it in the drop-down list. The algorithm also automatically excludes blank items from the validation list, so you don't have to worry about accidentally selecting blank items.
