CTOnews.com, August 31, in response to reports that the US Department of Justice and Securities Regulatory Commission are investigating Tesla's secret glass house project, Tesla CEO Musk responded on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on August 31, saying, "I will not build a house anywhere."that's the funniest thing I've ever heard. Where is the house?"

At least two U.S. government agencies are investigating Tesla's secret glass house project, codenamed Project 42, according to the Wall Street Journal. The project involves the construction of a glass living space near Austin, Texas. The project, led by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, has raised concerns among the company's board of directors and employees that Mr Musk may abuse the company's funds.

According to reports, the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York has asked Tesla to provide information about the project, including the personal benefits paid to Musk, Tesla's spending on the project, and the purpose of the project. Similarly, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has opened a civil investigation and sought the same information. According to SEC rules, if an executive has a significant interest in a transaction and the amount exceeds $120000 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 875000 yuan), it must be disclosed to investors. In addition, any personal interest that pays executives more than $10, 000 must also be disclosed.
