CTOnews.com Sept. 3, Intel will release the latest results of the 14-generation Core i9-14900K processor, showing a significant performance improvement over the 13th-generation Core i9-13900K processor.

Intel Core i9-14900K processor will be the most powerful chip in the 14-generation Raptor Lake series, its specification is similar to the existing Cool i9-13900K, but will have higher frequency and power consumption, resulting in a certain degree of performance improvement, which is also the essence of the 14-generation Raptor Lake series.

In terms of specifications, the Intel Core i9-14900K processor will be in an 8x16 configuration, with 24 cores and 32 threads, a smart cache of up to 36 MB, and a base power consumption of 125W (253W PL2), with a base frequency of 3.2GHz, which can be increased to 6.0GHz through TVB technology. This is 200 MHz higher than Core i9-13900K and the same as Core i9-13900KS.

In terms of performance, the Intel Core i9-14900K processor ran from @ wxnod, showing that the chip could run at a frequency of 6 GHz, just like the Core i9-13900KS. CTOnews.com notes that the chip is marked as an "engineering sample", so the final performance may change somewhat, but it should be very close. The processor scored 978 points in a single-core test (9% faster than 13900K) and 18117.5 points in a multi-core test, surpassing all current desktop-level processors and will be the fastest single-core and multi-core chip on the market.

Core i9-14900K will be announced at an innovation event at the end of this month.
