CTOnews.com, September 4 (Xinhua)-- Japanese smartphone maker FCNT, which has filed for bankruptcy protection, plans to transfer its smartphone business to Lenovo, Kyodo news agency reported, citing sources. It is reported that the two sides have signed the contract and are expected to complete the transfer procedures within this month.

Specifically, the business transferred this time, including the sales, maintenance and related services of mobile terminals such as smartphones, will be taken over by the "FCNT contract Club" in which Lenovo participates.

But FCNT is not the only local smartphone maker to run into trouble. Perhaps better known as Kyocera, Kyocera announced in May that it had ended its consumer-oriented mobile phone business.
