CTOnews.com September 4 news, at the recent 2023 Munich Motor Show, Volkswagen Group CEO, Porsche brand head Oliver Blume (Oliver Blume) talked about the design direction of its various brands.

Oliver believes that good design is an important factor in pleasing customers. With this in mind, the Volkswagen Group's plan is to improve design quality and launch compelling products, increasing brand differentiation. He also said VW would become a "design-driven company," with each brand having to have its own personality.

The Volkswagen ID. GTI Concept concept car unveiled at this auto show is following this design concept. The front part of the car is equipped with closed design and through-type headlights, with black honeycomb air intake and red stripe ID design of the whole car, and the sporty style is quite outstanding. Oliver pointed out that although the production version of the model (CTOnews.com note: production in 2025) will still be built on the MEB platform, the ID. GTI concept car looks completely different from the existing model.

Volkswagen Group owns many automobile brands, including Volkswagen, Skoda, Seat, Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche and so on. The familiar Bugatti does not appear in this lineup because it is now a "Bugatti-Rimac" joint venture, with the Rimac Group owning 55% of the shares and the other 45% belonging to Porsche.
