Hon Hai Group has reached strategic cooperation with the Mexican state of Chihuahua to lay out the automotive industry and renewable energy
CTOnews.com Sept. 5, Hon Hai Group announced that it has established a strategic partnership with the Chihuahua state government in northern Mexico to cooperate in professional training, supply chain, infrastructure construction, renewable energy and other areas.
Hon Hai said that the group has invested more than US $500m (CTOnews.com Note: about RMB 3.635 billion) in Chihuahua and will cooperate locally to develop renewable energy and train talents in the automotive industry. The two sides will focus on optimizing the supply chain, strengthening infrastructure and creating an environment conducive to growth and innovation.
Second, Hon Hai will also develop a talent pool with cutting-edge skills to meet the needs of the growing communications technology and automotive industry.
Hon Hai noted that the group aims to work with the Chihuahua government to develop training plans and measures to empower employees and position Chihuahua as an innovation-driven manufacturing center.
Finally, Hon Hai will work with the Chihuahua state government to improve energy efficiency, explore renewable energy and support sustainable power solutions.
Hon Hai said the partnership highlighted the group's shared commitment to environmental practices and promoted positive changes in business in San Jeronimo and Juarez.
