CTOnews.com, September 6, according to an email disclosed by the German media DrWindows, Microsoft is about to adjust the calculation of the image space occupation of photo albums in OneDrive cloud disk on October 16, which may lead to double or multiple space consumption.

Microsoft said in an email that users saving images to Gallery and Albums will distinguish between computing space, meaning that the same image will take up at least twice the space.

OneDrive's gallery automatically contains all the photos that users upload to the cloud, so deleting a photo in the gallery will cause the photo in the album to be deleted synchronously.

CTOnews.com Note: after taking effect on October 16, users will automatically include them in the gallery (Gallery) after uploading images. If the same picture appears in multiple albums, the space occupation of these pictures will be calculated many times, but after the gallery is deleted, the album will not be affected.
